Greetings in 2026!

I hope the slower pace of January has allowed for some moments of ease and that you’ve been able to take in a few beautiful winter sunsets along the way. As the year continues to unfold, I wanted to share a brief update on what’s new—including healing resources and collaborations, as well as Mindclay, a new online creative therapeutic platform I’ll be offering to somatic therapy clients.

As I work on an upcoming blog post exploring ADHD and neurodivergence, I’m curious to hear from you. If you feel called to sharing a personal ADHD experience or reflection—whether lived, observed, or professionally informed—you’re welcome to reach out here. These perspectives help shape these conversations in meaningful ways. To read more articles and reflections spanning somatic psychology, mental health, healing, and related topics, subscribe to my Substack.

If you’re new to somatic-relational psychotherapy and interested in exploring in-person or online sessions, you can connect with us through our contact form, or feel free to reach out if you have any questions about what’s featured in this newsletter.

Thanks for being here,
Romi

About Mindclay

Much of the therapeutic work we do happens between sessions, yet that time can often feel unstructured, invisible, or difficult to sustain. Traditional mental health–supporting “homework” is easy to forget or can feel uninspiring. I was recently introduced to Mindclay by its founder—a friend and expert working at the intersection of multimedia, art, health, and technology—and I genuinely believe there’s something special about it.

Mindclay supports therapists in incorporating self-guided art, music, movement, and writing practices into therapy in a way that creatively facilitates continuity between sessions. The platform is highly interactive and supports reflection and skill-building in daily life. It includes nearly 40 thoughtfully curated exercises spanning mindfulness, somatic awareness, cognitive reframing, and creative expression.

I’ve begun incorporating Mindclay practices into therapy for clients drawn to creative and somatic engagement between appointments. Exercises can be explored at one’s own pace and, if desired, revisited together during sessions. New and existing clients are welcome to inquire, and I look forward to sharing more as this unfolds. Therapists who are curious about Mindclay can learn more here.

As a contributor to the Trauma Informed Learning Alliance (TILA) blog and Substack, my recent piece explores the foundations of nervous system regulation—how stress responses like fight, flight, and freeze shape our experience—and ways to navigate stress and build resilience through a trauma-informed lens.

Trauma Fatigue: Developing Resilience to Manage Stress and Anxiety

I recommend checking out TILA and their meaningful work amplifying diverse voices, sharing trauma-informed resources, and fostering a compassionate professional community.
